Trip Hawkins to deliver keynote at NGDC 2012

Industry veteran Trip Hawkins will deliver a keynote speech at NASSCOM Game Developer Conference 2012 in Pune later this year, NASSCOM has announced.

Hawkins, an inductee in the Academy of Interactive Arts and Sciences’ Hall of Fame, founded EA and the now defunct console maker and game publisher 3DO, before setting up Digital Chocolate in 2003, where he served as CEO till May this year.

The NASSCOM event is a great opportunity for the game community to dig deeply into key trends and issues at a time when the game industry is changing faster than ever before. I am excited to have the opportunity to share my opinions in this outstanding forum," Hawkins said.

Hawkins joins Sledgehhammer Games CEO Glen Schofield amongst the list of keynote speakers at NGDC 2012, with more speakers yet to be announced.

The NASSCOM Game Developer Conference is India’s largest annual games summit. This year’s event, which will be held on 2nd and 3rd November in Pune, is expected to draw over 1,200 attendees from all spheres of the gaming industry.
