Ubisoft reworks Rainbow Six Siege roadmap for three months of fixes

Rainbow Six Siege’s second year roadmap has been tweaked to allow for a three month period of fixing various issues that have been bothering players.

The upcoming seasons set in Hong Kong and South Korea have been pushed back to August and November respectively and the Poland season dropped. Season Two, which is now dubbed ‘Operation Health’, will now see the developers working on patches for the game.

As a result there will only be three new maps this year, including the Spain map that is already available.

Game health is our priority. To achieve this goal we took the decision to fully dedicate the next three months to improving our game,” the publisher said.

Operation Health is all about fixing several issues and investing in better technology to make sure we keep growing strong in the upcoming years. Operation Health will follow a much more iterative pace and new deployment philosophy in three steps ensuring we gradually inject new developments.

For instance, the One Step Matchmaking will be released first on the Technical Test Server (TTS), then on PC and finally, when ready, on Xbox One and PS4.

During Operation Health, we will post frequent reports detailing what new tech we are implementing, the content of the next update, bug fixes that were pushed, and so on. We invite you to follow our progress and to participate in our upcoming control quality checks on the TTS.”

The most common complaints voiced by fans concern hit registration (as in, bullets correctly striking opponents) as well as the amount of time it takes to matchmake and various server problems.
