Ubisoft's Q1 revenues rocket

The firm attributed the revenue spike to the continued success of Xbox 360 title Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter and PC title Heroes of Might and Magic V.

And things are looking particularly rosy for the publisher in the US, as it revealed a 34 per cent increase in sell-through, with 49 per cent of total revenue from North American territories alone. Ubisoft’s share price is looking good too, showing a seven per cent increase in the first six months of the calendar year.

"We are pleased to note the spectacular launch of the Nintendo DS Lite and the solid performance of the Xbox 360 in the American market, a trend which bodes well for the coming upturn of the video games market," commented Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.
