UK CHARTS: Ashes 2009 not out

It’s as you were at the top of the ELSPA GfK-ChartTrack All Formats Top 40 this week as Codemasters’ Ashes Cricket 2009 and Nintendo pair Wii Sports Resort and Wii Fit remain in first, second and third positions for the second week running.

The only new entry in the Top Ten is EA’s Madden NFL 10, which debuts in eighth on its first week of release. There’s also a re-entry – Activision’s Call of Duty: World At War climbs from 11th to seventh spot.

The only other new entry in the entire Top 40 is another fitness title – Nintendo’s Active Health with Carol Vorderman, which marks its release with a 31st spot finish.

A number of retail promotions see a handful of re-entries in the lower reaches of the charts, with Microsoft’s Too Human, Nintendo’s New Super Mario Bros and EA due Need for Speed: Undercover and Trivial Pursuit all stimulating the lower quarter.
