Test Drive Unlimited 2 has topped the GfK All Formats Top 40 this week ahead of EA’s Dead Space 2.
The multiformat driving game is Atari’s first No.1 of the year. It is distributed by Namco Bandai in the UK.
Nintendo’s new Mario games continued to rise up the charts this week, with Mario vs Donkey Kong: Mini-Land Mayhem on DS jumping five places from No.11 to No.6. Mario Sports Mix on Wii rose from No.12 to No.8.
Ubisoft’s new kids’ music game Dance Juniors debuted at No.12 this week, while EA’s new release Madden NFL 11 re-entered the charts at No.14 following last weekend's Super Bowl in the US.
Other top sellers from last year continued to hold steady in the Top Ten, with FIFA 11 at No.3, Black Ops at No.4 and Assassin’s Creed: Brotherhood at No.5.
As well as Test Drive Unlimited 2, Namco Bandai saw success with Ben 10: Cosmic Destruction after it re-entered the chart at No.17. This follows the release of the game on Wii, PS3, PS2 and PSP last week. It was already available on Xbox 360.
