Uncharted series 'a good candidate' for PS4 re-release

Uncharted 4 is currently in development for PS4, but perhaps one Uncharted game simply isn’t enough for Nathan Drake.

With The Last of Us: Remastered hitting PS4 later this month and Thatgamecompany’s Flow and Flower already available, Sony obviously sees great stock in retooling its existing PS3 hits for its new console.

So it should come as no surprise that the hugely popular Uncharted series is very much on its radar.

"There are requests from some consumers for games that were released later in the generation, like Uncharted, which people might have missed," Sony's president of worldwide studios Shuhei Yoshida told Eurogamer.

"That would be a good candidate. We don't want to flood the market with remade games either."

Yoshida also reiterated previous comments claiming that a large number of PS4 owners are gamers who have migrated from rival platforms such as Xbox 360 and Wii.

Said Yoshida: "Almost 50 per cent of people who have purchased a PS4 didn't own a PS3, and that's lots of people that missed exclusive PS3 titles like The Last of Us, so it's a great way to welcome those people back to PlayStation, saying this is what you missed."
