Valve adds game subscription plans to Steam

Valve has announced the addition of subscription-based titles to its Steam library.

With the ‘Subscriptions Plans’ service, Steam users have the ability to sign up and manage purchases for games requiring subscriptions.

Players can cancel or renew their subscriptions through Steam’s interface at any time, but there’s no such option for freezing them.

The launch title for the new category is Indie MMO – and Steam Greenlight selection – Darkfall Unholy Wars, with more games to follow.
