VIDEO: Bleszinski shows off first LawBreakers gameplay footage

Former Epic and Gears of War developer Cliff Bleszinski has shown off the first in-game footage of his studio’s free-to-play FPS LawBreakers.

The game, developed by Boss Key and published by Nexon – which acquired a minority stake in the developer last summer – continues the theme of gravity-defying action seen in shooters such as Titanfall and recent Call of Duty’s.

In this instance, gravity is skewiff due to an event called ‘The Shattering’ which disrupted the world’s natural balance.

It hopes to differentiate itself, however, by rewarding players for skill instead of killstreaks. It’s set in the future and sees two factions squaring off – one hell bent on a life of crime and the other on maintaining the peace.

Bleszinski founded Boss Key last year, having left Epic in late 2012.

LawBreakers is due out on PC in 2016. Here’s the footage:
