VIDEO: See where GamesAid donations go

GamesAid has released its annual video talking to the charities it has supported with the help of games industry donations.

The six charities featured this year were Action For Kids, Jigsaw4U, Lifelites, Volunteer Centre Sutton: MAPS, SpecialEffect and The Willow Foundation. Each one received a donation of 29,000 in 2011 – the result of fundraisers and other events run by members of the industry.

The video was first shown to attendees at last month’s MCV Awards, and can now be viewed online. You can find the video by scrolling down.

"It is a real pleasure to spend time with each of the charities and to see the great work they do," said executive producer and GamesAid vice chair Caroline Miller.

"Making this video really brings home the message that GamesAid makes a huge difference to so many children and young people. It is a great way to convey the message to all of our members, the industry and gamers alike."

GamesAid chair Stuart Dinsey added: "I want to thank Brian Holmes who directed the video again this year and all of those people from the charities who gave their time to make it. It really captures the spirit of what GamesAid is all about and that is just great."
