VIDEO: Wii U launch title Killer Freaks

Publisher Ubisoft has lifted the lid on its revolutionary” FPS it announced after Nintendo’s Wii U console reveal at E3.

Forget its Wii launch title Red Steel – the Wii U will exclusively get a bloody and ballsy alien shooter from Ubisoft called Killer Freaks From Outer Space.

As one of Earth’s last survivors, players must take out the hordes of aliens with a range of weaponry. The trailer shows a man with a strong London accent swearing and shooting aliens, with a humour similar to that of Duke Nukem.

When Nintendo launches a new console, it’s always a big milestone for the industry and a great opportunity for creativity,” said Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot.

Killer Freaks will make the most of all the fantastic capabilities of the Wii U and provide hardcore players with a gaming experience like no other they have seen or played before.”

Ubisoft France studio MD Xavier Poix added: When we realised the potential of what Nintendo was offering by creating a tactile controller, we were off and running immediately.”

Having that extra screen in the hand of the player allows us boundless innovation that ultimately gives the player a more beautiful game, a faster game interface, a personalised game experience, and so much more.”

The Wii U will launch next year.
