Xbox 360 price cut on the cards?

In a week likely to be characterised by endless rumour, the latest points to a possible Xbox 360 price cut that could be announced at Microsoft’s E3 press conference.

The talk stems from an ad spotted by VG247 for the US retailer Target which lists the Xbox 360 250GB and Kinect bundle for just $299.99 – that’s $100 below the current ticket price.

Adding credence to the rumour, the machine is still listed for $399.99 when users click through.

Of course, it could be nothing more than a mistake or perhaps even a retailer specific promotion. But it’s not unusual for E3 price cuts to be outed in this way.
