Microsoft has announced Kinect Sports, a new mini-game compilation that uses the motion controller.
The game is developed by Rare and will allow players to control a wide range of sporting events, including bowling, football, volley ball, boxing and a number of track and field events, such as javelin, long jump and hurdles.
Players will be able to use their customiseable Xbox Avatar as their in-game character and will find a number of other motion-sensitive touches, such as launching fireworks and prompting a Mexican Wave from the stadium’s audience.
Kinect Sports will be available this Christmas and is one of six launch titles for Microsoft’s new controller.
