Xbox One not getting Nordic release until Q3 2014 – report

The wait for Xbox One in some European territories could be far longer than had been expected.

GameReactor claims to have word from trusted sources” that Xbox One might not be launched in Nordic territories until Q3 2014 – that’s some time between July and September next year.

This information applies specifically to Sweden, Finland, Norway and Denmark. It’s not known if countries such as Russia, Belgium, Holland and Switzerland will also be affected.

Microsoft initially confirmed in August that Xbox One would not quite see the global release that had been planned and would miss some key European territories.

It later claimed that the decision was made not due to manufacturing volumes but instead due to challenges with Kinect localisation.
