Kazunori Yamauchi took part in this weekend’s 24-hour race at Nurburgring.

The creator of Gran Turismo was a member of a four-man team and raced in a Nissan GT-R. Yamauchi was at the wheel when it crossed the finish line, according to Dual Shockers.

The team finished in 36th place, bagging them a Victory in the SP 8T class, with a final time of just under seven-and-three-quarter hours.

Shortly after, Yamauchi posted on Twitter: “The Nurburgring 24 hour race was dramatic and a lot happened during the last leg. Class victory goes to the GT-R. Thanks a lot for  the congratulatory messages. Time for the awards ceremony now.”
