Hit 3DS JRPG series Yokai Watch will make its western debut sometime next year, developer Level-5 has revealed.
Gematsu reports Level-5 CEO and president Akihiro Hino confirmed the news to fans, stating that the games have had “big appeal” both within and outside of Japan's market.
“In regards foreign markets, we have been taking a look at it in regards to Yokai Watch,” Hino said. “We are in development planning to release it sometime next year.”
Hino added that Level-5 is currently in talks with an unspecified foreign toy maker for added support.
The original Yokai Watch has sold beyond 1.2m copies life-to-date, while the recently released Yokai Watch 2 has already moved 2m units in its first month.
