The Legend of Zelda: Skyward Sword is now scheduled for release on Wii early next year – so says the game’s producer.
Nintendo previously dated the title with a loose window of 2011 during its official revealing at E3 last month.
“The basis we have now is very, very solid,” producer Eiji Aunoma told ONM.
“Early 2011 – that is what we’re aiming for.”
Skyward Sword is also the first Zelda game on Wii to make use of MotionPlus connectivity. Players will be able to swing the in-game sword more accurately when the game hits shelves early next year.
Nintendo’s previous Zelda game on Wii – Twilight Princess – was favourably received by the gaming press when it was released during late 2006. It achieved an average review score of 95 on Metacritic.
