Aardvark Swift Get in the Game university tour is looking for speakers

Aardvark Swift is going on a university tour and is looking to take you with them! This year’s Get in the Game tour is starting in October and the recruiter is looking for guest speakers to talk.

Over 3000 students visited the talks last year, which went up and down the country discussing various elements of game development. Talks were given on programming, animation, development and art by representatives from top UK studios including Playground Games, Rebellion, Red Kite Games and even technology developers like AMD.

The tour will last just over a month and will start in the North of the UK at Abertay University and will visit 25 other universities, concluding at the Winchester School of Art on November 23rd. So regardless of where you are in the country, there’s likely to be a university near your studio.

Last year, some of the previous presentations included “Breaking Into The Industry: What You Should Be Doing” and “My Game Dev Story – From Aspiring Game Maker To Creative Director”. Industry partners will also be present to deliver workshops with hints and tips on employability. If you’re looking for ideas, you can read last years list of speakers here.

Aardvark Swift are also encouraging women and ethnic minority speakers to come and participate, in an effort to represent diversity across the industry to students. If you are interested in speaking, you can contact Rachel Frost at Aardvark Swift at rachel@aswift.com or call 01709 834777.
