‘Apocalypse’ announced as final Call of Duty: Black Ops II DLC pack

Activision has revealed the Apocalypse content pack for Call of Duty: Black Ops II, stating that it will be the final piece of DLC for the game.

Apocalypse contains four more multiplayer maps and a zombie campaign dubbed Origins.

Comic book artist Alex Ross and rock band Sevenfold are involved in the creation of the new campaign, which is set in the era of World War I France and follows the exploits of the heroes from the original zombies map.

The four new maps include: Frost, a snowy European villa; Pod, a Taiwanese modernist compound; Takeoff, a remote launch site on an island; and Dig, an adaptation of Call of Duty: World at War’s map Courtyard.

The DLC will launch on August 27th for Xbox Live, with PC and PS3 platforms to follow around a month later – if past releases are any indication. It comes with Black Ops II’s Season Pass and costs 1200 MS Points on its own.
