Chelsea star Eden Hazard joins Messi for FIFA 15 cover

Chelsea midfielder Eden Hazard will join Lionel Messi on the front of FIFA 15.

For those that don’t know Hazard, he is probably Chelsea’s best player. He scored 14 goals last season and is a damn good passer of the ball. According to EA, he set up 92 chance and has an 83 per cent passing accuracy. He was someone most people had in their Fantasy Football teams.

Guessing who would join Messi on the front cover of FIFA is actually a tricky business. Rooney used to be the default pick, but was dropped last year for Gareth Bale. The Spurs player then moved to Real Madrid after the cover was revealed, which created a further headache for EA.

Hazard will appear on the FIFA 15 box for the UK, Ireland, Belgium France and The Netherlands.

We’re delighted to have Eden on the cover of FIFA 15 and to be working with him and Chelsea in showcasing the Barclays Premier League to the amazing level of detail that the game will deliver this year," said Dan Holman, EA Sports’ UK marketing director.

"Eden’s quick, direct and skilful approach is a joy to watch on the pitch, and a dream come true for FIFA Ultimate Team fans, and it shows why he is often one of the first names in their concept squads.”

Hazard definitely said: I have played FIFA all of my life and it’s a huge honour to be asked to be on the cover of FIFA 15. Now I have played the game I can say it’s the most realistic football game I have seen, so I cannot wait to challenge my friends and team-mates with FIFA 15 and show off the new moves."
