Former EA, Lionhead and Bethesda talent joins Train Simulator firm

Dovetail Games adds trio to dev team

Dovetail Games, the developer and publisher behind the Train Simulator series, has revealed a trio of hires that expands its games development team.

Heading up the newcomers is Darren Potter, who joins as development director. He boasts almost 20 years of games development experience, having worked at EA, SCi Games and Square Enix Europe.

Former Lionhead Studios employee Jorge Sanchez has been named lead artist, and will draw on more than 15 years of experience, with games such as Black & White and the Fable series under his belt. He also worked at Pyro Studios, Trilobite, Climax Studios and Escapist Games.

Finally, Jonas Nelson has become lead programmer for Dovetail’s studio. He previously worked at Bethesda Softworks and Avalanche Studios.

"We are delighted to be welcoming Darren, Jorge and Jonas to the Dovetail Games family," said Dovetail’s VP and executive producer Rob O’Farrell. "Between them they bring extensive industry experience and expertise to the team, as well as a commitment to creating premium quality products.

"Their appointments will help us to continue to grow the business as we focus on developing a wide variety of simulation entertainment products."
