Ezio heads to the World Cup

Ubisoft is taking the chance to promote upcoming release Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood way ahead of its November 19th release date by tapping into the huge audience for the 2010 World Cup in South Africa.

A TV marketing campaign will debut during the USA vs Ghana second round match that kicks off in Rustenberg at 19:30 this Saturday, June 26th.

The spot, which will promote the Limited Codex Edition of the game, will be 40 seconds long and appear in the ad break scheduled for 21:23.

A second 40 second spot highlighting the Special Edition SKU of the game will air at 21:23 in ITV’s coverage of the clash between Brazil and either Chile or Spain that takes place in Johannesburg on Monday June 28th.

The game itself sees iconic protagonist Ezio return to Rome to take on the heart of the corrupt officials besieging his homeland. For the first time in the series Assassin’s Creed Brotherhood will boast a deep online multiplayer mode.

The game is due for release on Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on November 19th.
