Studio founder and game theory lecturer to return to Gateshead event

Jesse Schell re-booked for GameHorizon

Jesse Schell, the popular games essayist who works in academia and also runs his own studio, is to return to GameHorizon.

Schell’s lecture at GameHorizon 2010 was the highest-rated speech in the event’s history, according to its organisers.

His 2010 talk, ‘Roadmap to the Gamepocalypse’, was described by delegates as insightful, interesting and futuristic.

GameHorizon, a games industry networking and learning event, runs this year from June 28-29th at The Sage Gateshead.

Offering a glimpse into his next presentation, Schell said: “I’ll be talking about some new trends in design and how game designers are actually pioneering all kinds of new technologies and techniques that have applicability way outside the domain of games”

Conference director Carri Cunliffe said “it’s fantastic to have Jesse back at GameHorizon Conference 2011. He is a great speaker who delivers daring and exclusive content. I can’t wait to hear him talk."

A full conference pass costs £299 plus VAT (so, £358.80)
