LEGO Universe sampling tour kicks off

Warner Bros is taking upcoming MMO adventure LEGO Universe on the road this month.

The firm is allowing customers to experience the subscription-based PC game at LEGO Land in Windsor and the LEGO Land Discovery Centre in Manchester.

The LEGO Universe sampling ‘lounge’ will also preview the game at consumer show GameCity in Nottingham from Wednesday, October 27th to Saturday, October 30th.

As well as the tour, Warner has also booked a wider marketing campaign.

A series of 20-second and 30-second TV ads will run over a two-week period, while PR and demo covermounts will appear in a range of specialist and lifestyle magazines.

Online demos will be available to download and sites will feature a developer’s tour of the game. There will also be retail POS in the form of posters, countertops, stickers, leaflets and FSDUs.

LEGO Universe is an online third person action adventure that allows players to create their own unique LEGO character before building houses, taking part in co-op quests and exploring the world. It goes on sale on Friday, October 22nd for 29.99.
