On the back of its announcement of a new

‘family’ orientated Xbox 360 Arcade bundle

yesterday, Microsoft has confirmed a whole new selection of downloadable content aimed squarely at the family market.

The Xbox Live service will soon be bolstered by over 50 Warner Brothers Looney Toons shows, along with a selection of Nickelodeon programmes including The Backyardigans, Blue’s Clues and iCarly.

"Looney Tunes cartoons have been family favourites for generations, and now everyone can download them anytime on Xbox 360," Warner Bros Digital Distribution’s vice president of marketing Michele Edelman stated.

"We are particularly proud to offer programming in Spanish as well as high definition, both of which help enhance the appeal of these great shows for Xbox 360 owners."

In addition, two child-orientated games have been announced for Microsoft’s Xbox Live Arcade service – Spongebob Sqaurepants: Underpants Slam and Shrek ‘n’ Roll.
