2K could be on the cusp of announcing a third game in the Mafia series.
Videogamer reports that Rick Pasqualone, who voiced Mafia 2’s Vittorio Scaletta, has twice dropped hints about the game, saying that he "might have some Mafia news very soon”.
The game was previously rumoured to be in development at 2K Czech’s Prague studio prior to its closure a year ago, leaving the fate of the title in limbo. However, just two months later talk of casting sessions for the game cropped up.
The first Mafia was released in 2002 on PS2 and Xbox while its sequel Mafia 2, released in 2010, made the jump to Xbox 360 and PS3.
The real question is whether the new game can live up to its predecessor’s record-breakingly potty-mouthed scripting?
