Monkey Island among a number of smartphone games killed off by Disney

Disney Interactive has officially ‘retired’ a huge number of iOS and Android games.

By ‘retiring’ them’ it means affected titles will no longer receive content updates or support, and there will be no refunds for any in-game expenditure players may have invested over the years.

Games of note include The Secret of Monkey Island, Monkey Island 2 Special Edition: Le Chuck’s Revenge, Star Wars: Tiny Death Star, Guardians of the Galaxy: The Universal Weapon, two of the JellyCar titles, Wreck-it Ralph and Marvel: Avengers Alliance.

"Although the decision was difficult to make, this will allow us to focus on building new and more engaging games," the company told TouchArcade.
