Rogue Legacy coming to PS4, PS3 and Vita on July 29th

The ‘rogue-lite’ dungeon platformer Rogue Legacy is coming to PlayStation platforms at the end of July.

Teddy Lee, games designer at developer Cellar Door Games, announced that the game, which launched on PC, Mac and Linux last year, was originally designed with a view to playing on Vita.

"When we originally made Rogue Legacy, we made it with the PS Vita buttons in mind," he said in the Playstation Blog announcement. "No joke. We gambled that if it did well, we wouldn’t want the Vita version being nerfed in the control department, so we made sure to not use too many buttons. That crazy gamble we made over a year ago paid off, and that means the Vita version plays perfectly."

The PlayStation release of Rogue Legacy has been adapted by Abstraction Games and will support cross-buy and cross-save across platforms, as well as including a platinum trophy and multiple language options.

Lee added that all of the content in the PC release would make it across to the Sony platforms.

So you get all the extra bonus zones, traits, and boss remixes jam packed into those sweet little bytes, along with just a little bit more. But only just a little,” he joked.
