Schedule and groups announced for Turner’s ELEAGUE

The initial schedule and the first three groups for the upcoming ELEAGUE competition from US media giant Turner have been announced.

The action will kick off on Tuesday May 24th, with Group A that features MLG Columbus champions Luminosity along with Team Liquid, Cloud9 and Renegades.

Each week Tuesdays and Wednesdays will see the teams play each other twice in order to decide the seeding for the semi finals on Thursdays. The two finalists will then battle on Friday evenings for a spot in the finals, and it is this match that will be broadcast on TBS. Runners up from each group will still have a shot at the finals through last chance playoffs towards the end of the season. Each week a different group will compete in the same format.

The groups that will play on weeks two and three have also been announced. Ninja’s in Pyjamas, G2 Esports, Tyloo and Optic Gaming make up Group B and will compete in the second week. The third week will see Astralis, NRG Esports, SK Gaming and Counter-Logic Gaming compete.

All of the ELEAGUE action will be streamed online with the final match of each week being broadcast on US TV network TBS as well as online.
