Wake-Up Club rises on Vita

Sony’s latest free Vita app is to launch on Tuesday 15th in North America.

The Wake-Up Club, will be available to download from the PS store from Tuesday 15th, Sony announced via the PlayStation Blog.

The app brings together 12 PSN members who have selected the same morning alarm time to form a Wake-Up Club.

When a member hears their alarm go off, their Vita avatar will begin moving around the screen and users can tap their avatar to let the rest of the club know they have woken up.

Once awake, club members will be able to see the other snoozing users and tap the sleeping avatars to cheer them into consciousness.The awake members will then began appearing on the snoozer’s screen until they leave the Land of Nod and join the rest of the Wake-Up Club.

The app also allows players to personalise alarm tones and see personal records including how many times players have woken up within five minutes of the alarm as well as the average length of time it takes users to wake up.

The Wake-Up Club app will launch for free on the PS Vita PlayStation Store in North America on Tuesday 15th January.
