For seventeen exciting, unpredictable, heartbreaking and heartwarming days Olympic fever gripped the world. Records were broken, hopes were dashed and a few select athletes emerged triumphant. In the spirit of the games now you have the chance to join the sporting elite and compete to become a champion runner with the new iPhone game, 100m Men’s Sprint.
In honor of Usain Bolt and Yohan Blake setting blistering times on the track you can hold your own sprint championship from the comfort of your own home. The game itself couldn’t be simpler. Just like in the real 100-metre dash it’s all about the start. The first player to hit the keypad at the starting pistol will get the best time and win the race. Watch out, though - tap too soon and you’re disqualified.
There are three gameplay modes. To hone your skills and develop your sprinting technique you can play against the computer in single player. When you feel ready to start competing with real people, you can battle your friends for the fastest time over Bluetooth. Finally, when even your friends don’t present a challenge any more, take on the whole planet in worldwide multiplayer mode.
Aside from making it to the top of the world sprinting ladder there are a number of prizes to aim for. Win 5 games in a row to become “Unstoppable”, run under 9.7 seconds to achieve “Ball Lightening” status or win 10 Bluetooth matches to become “King of the Hill”. If it’s early days and you haven’t fully developed into the runner you know you can be, there are a few more manageable targets to shoot for. Simply taking part in 20 Bluetooth matches gets you a “Challenge me” status, while running 20 races gets you “Born to be Wild”. Play the game at some ungodly hour of the morning and you’ll achieve the title of “Night Runner”. Even spectacular underachievement is rewarded – run a time over 9.7 to be granted “Turtle Power”.
Test your reactions, compete with your friends and take on the world all in one game. The stage is set, Olympic greatness awaits. Download 100m Men’s sprint today and go for the gold.
