16 million players MMORPG developer Ankama to organize its 4th Convention in Paris, June 27-28.

Roubaix , France - 4 June 2009– Ankama, creator of the 16 million players MMORPG DOFUS and of the Wakfu TV series, is proud to announce that its fourth Convention will take place in Paris on June 27-28. The convention will welcome an estimated 35,000 visitors and feature 10.000 m2 of exclusive previews, collectors and activities to allow everyone to discover the games, animated series, comic books and magazines produced by ANKAMA. This convention is dedicated to Gobbowl– the most popular sport by far in the worlds of DOFUS and Wakfu, and is destined for fans of all ages.

Following the success of Ankama Convention # 3, which hosted 20,000 visitors in Lille (December 2008), the company hasn’t let up with Ankama Convention #4! Newcomers and experts alike will work up a sweat with the sporting spirit that is the theme of this event: Gobbowl, the official pastime of Wakfu the animated series (France 3). The most daring may even decide to play a game of this high-octane sport, while the rest will enjoy browsing the exhibitions and cartoon screening rooms on offer. Ankama Convention # 4 will be a colorful and exciting weekend for the whole family!

For two days, visitors will have the opportunity to take part in numerous activities inspired by the ANKAMA universe:

• Playable Demonstrations of online games DOFUS (DOFUS, DOFUS 2.0) and Dofus-Arena

• Dofus-Arena League

• Game-testing of applications for mobile phones (DOFUSPocket, Dofus-Arena Pocket)

• Introductory card game Sessions (Wakfu TCG) before official release

• Meetings between the public and members of the ANKAMA team

• Animations devoted to Gobbowl: sports pitch with live action

• Book signing and recent news by authors from Ankama Editions

• Other activities: games, tournaments, conferences, screenings of Wakfu the TV series (the Gobbowl trilogy), exhibitions, cosplay contests, ball pools, drawing workshops, Gobbtonik competitions (dance) with many prizes all round!

All visitors will receive an exclusive bag of goodies (except invitee pass holders*). Weekend Passes and Family Passes (normal price ticket + invitee ticket*) are available in advance only on the FranceBillet and Ticketnet networks.
