Ace of Blades, the follow-up to Spell Sword, announced.

Everplay Interactive, developer of iOS game Spell Sword, announces Ace of Blades, a pixelized action-platformer and spiritual successful to Spell Sword. Spell Sword launched in April 2012 and received critical claim as an addictive arena platformer. TouchArcade reviewed it as “crazy-fun” and Kotaku reviewed it as “more fun than it should be.”

Everplay seeks to follow on the critical success of Spell Sword by taking the formula that made the game popular and listened to the feedback to deliver on what the players want from future iterations. Spell Sword, like Super Crate Box, is an arena action platformer, but many players were hoping for a traditional platformer. Ace of Blades is born from that desire.

The story follows the hero on his quest to become the "Ace of Blades" by exploring each world to locate Blades that have special powers, similar to the cards from Spell Sword. One of the coolest features is the physics engine we've built that allows for fun puzzle elements. Everplays main goal is to make the most action packed platformer ever for iOS.

Pricing and Availability: Ace of Blades will be a paid universal game for iOS, compatible with iPod, iPhone, iPad, and the iPad Mini launching sometime in early 2013.
