Achievement Unlocked - Video Games Live: Level 3 Smashes Funding Target

Los Angeles, CA, USA – September 12 2013/… Video Games Live™, the first and most successful video game touring concert in the world, today confirmed that its Video Games Live: Level 3 album project has been successfully funded through Kickstarter.

Bucking the odds and proving the naysayers wrong, Video Games Live’s Tommy Tallarico celebrated with fans during a Twitch.TV livestream as the $250,000 milestone was reached with two days still to go on the campaign. The campaign ends on Friday 13 September, 9:20am EDT.

Tommy Tallarico, CEO/Executive Producer/Host of Video Games Live said:

“I would like to thank all of our backers, those who could not back but socialized the cause and to every single person who has ever attended Video Games Live, thank you! In the immortal lyrics from Portal: ‘This was a triumph. I'm making a note here: HUGE SUCCESS. It's hard to overstate my satisfaction.’

Prior to hitting its funding target, Tommy Tallarico confirmed that Valve Corporation is now part of the Video Games Live: Level 3 album project in the form of an exclusive DOTA 2 musical arrangement. Tommy Tallarico collaborated with Valve composers Tim Larkin and Jason Hayes (the latter was also formerly of Blizzard Entertainment) on the arrangement, which received its world premiere VGL concert performance during this year’s Amazon/Comic-Con show.
