AIOMI, the Italian Association for Videogame Culture, is proud to announce that Andrea Pessino, founder of Ready At Dawn Studios®, will deliver the keynote of the Italian Videogame Developers Conference 2009, the National Congress of the Italian Game Developers (

Born in Italy, Andrea Pessino has been living and working in California since 1990. In the beginning, he has been Senior Software Scientist in MetaCreations Corp.®, where he’s been co-author of many successful graphical applications, which he obtained many recognitions from the industry. After that, Pessino has been Senior Software Engineer in Blizzard Entertainment®, where he created important technologies for the development of various videogame blockbusters, like WarCraft III: Reign of Chaos®, WarCraft III: The Frozen Throne®, and he contributed also to the development of the technology for World of Warcraft®, famous Blizzard’s MMORPG. In 2003 he founded Ready At Dawn Studios®, development team based in Irvine (California), which developed two of the most successful titles on PSP (PlayStation Portable): Daxter™, out in 2006, imposed a real benchmark for action games on PSP and sold almost 3 million copies; God of War®: Chains of Olympus, out in 2008, is the PSP game with the highest scores in each and every reviews.

After his incredible success in the first edition of the IVDC (November 22nd, 2008), Andrea Pessino will come back to Italy during the first day of the Congress, on October 8th, 2009, in the Main Lecture Hall of the prestigious IULM University in Milan, with a keynote about how to found a successful software house and a speech about Daxter™.
