ASTRO Gaming’s Transport Series Named the Official Gift Bags of the 51st Grammy Awards

SAN FRANCISCO and LOS ANGELES - February 8, 2009

ASTRO Gaming, the company behind the acclaimed A40 Audio System, is bringing their Transport Series of gaming gear bags to the 2009 Grammy Awards, where the Mission and Roadie bags will be handed out to nominees and VIPs as the official gift bag of the celebration.

The Mission gear bag is a veritable endless loot bag for gamers in motion, transporting a current-generation game console, power supply and controllers, leaving tons of extra room for personal effects. The ruggedized Roadie dual guitar controller case lets aspiring rock stars securely carry two of their prized Guitar Hero or Rock Band axes– sans dangling cords.

“Gaming is fast becoming as important to pop culture as music, and we can’t think of a better event than the Grammy Awards to introduce ASTRO Gaming’s gear to the music industry,” said Jordan Reiss, co-founder and vice president of ASTRO Gaming.“Professionals and celebrities in the music industry have a lot in common with today’s gamers, who are constantly on the go, and looking for ways to take their favorite hobby with them. The Transport Series keeps up with their mobile lifestyle, protecting their gear and looking good in the process.”

The music industry's premier event will take place live on Sunday, Feb. 8, at STAPLES Center in Los Angeles and will be broadcast in HDTV and 5.1 Surround Sound on the CBS Television Network from 8– 11:30 p.m. (ET/PT). The show also will be supported on radio via Westwood One worldwide, and covered online at GRAMMY.com and CBS.com, on Twitter at "theGRAMMYs," on Facebook at "The Recording Academy," on YouTube at "51stGRAMMYs," and on Last.fm at "the51stgrammys." Additional performers, presenters and special segments will be announced soon.
