Aurora exceeds 10 million visits in PlayStation®Home

Farnborough, Hampshire, UK – 26 th February 2013

Digital publisher nDreams is pleased to announce that Aurora, one of the first free-to-play console games, has now had more than ten million visits since it launched. The floating archipelago was released in March 2011 in the PlayStation Home virtual world, which is exclusive to the PlayStation®3 console. Aurora continues to expand and evolve, and the latest major update to Aurora (version 1.7) will launch next month.

Announcing the milestone, nDreams CEO, Patrick O’Luanaigh said

“We’re incredibly proud of Aurora and the players who have helped make this such a successful virtual space. We don’t shout about ourselves very often, but nDreams continues to grow with a clear focus - to remain one of the leading publishers in PlayStation Home whilst becoming known for exciting and unique tablet games. We’re on track to launch a number of tablet based titles this year that we hope will demonstrate our distinctive approach to free-to-play development. We’d like to publically thank Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE) for their continuing support on PlayStation Home, a highly underrated platform with a large, smart and passionate community, and we hope to continue our strong relationship with SCE moving forwards alongside our growth into tablet gaming.”

As well as virtual clothing and locomotions, recent PlayStation Home launches have included larger games such as Xi: Continuum, F.U.B.A.R and Blueprint: Home. nDreams also create a range of apartments and clubhouses, like the forthcoming “Carla’s Coffee Shop”.

Over 80% of nDreams revenue comes from publishing their own original IP. As well as PlayStation Home and tablet, nDreams also develop for the Xbox Avatar Marketplace.
