Bad Habit Games to Get a Tattoo if Their Kickstarter Campaign Is Successful

Austrian Indie Developer Bad Habit Games wants to leave a permanent impression - to prove that, its founders will get tattoos portraying the protagonists of their upcoming game. “Starbattle” stands in the tradition of great multiplayer games like “Super Bomberman”, “Mario Kart” and the “Worms” franchise. The project is now on Kickstarter and if it receives funding, all backers will be getting to see the developers bleed.

Vienna, Feb. 4, 2013 - Indie Developers eat, sleep and breathe their creations - that’s unquestioned, but Austrian Developer Bad Habit Games takes it to a new level. Currently their debut game “Starbattle” is looking for funding over on Kickstarter and if the campaign is successful, the two developers promise that they’ll both get a “Starbattle”-themed tattoo!

„The idea of Starbattle has been with me my entire life – why not pay permanent tribute to it, if it becomes a success story?” says Markus Haschny, Programmer at Bad Habit Games.

The pitched game concept is by no means less exciting:

Starbattle is a skill-based, 2D multiplayer action game. The player takes control over one of four stars and tries to gain upper hand in battle. Add a huge collection of perfectly interfering items and hostile battle areas to the mix and you get old school competition at its finest.

Starbattle will NOT use the Free-to-play model. Pay once – play forever! That also includes all battle arenas, power-up items and game modes.

“We are gamers and want to make games we would play ourselves.” explains Philipp Kock, Designer at Bad Habit Games. “We don’t want to sit lurking behind every corner; ready to snatch the gamer’s money!”

Release is scheduled at the end of 2013 for PC.

About Starbattle

Four stars of different colors fight for a very special spot in the universe, each claiming it for itself. To do so, they use their plasma shots which come out of the stars jags clock-wisely. Only when a shot is destroyed, another one can be fired. Additionally the stars can make use of their melee attack, which is basically them spinning like a buzz saw, inflicting damage when bumping into an opponent.

The player takes control of one star and tries to gain the upper hand in several amazing game modes and stunning battle arenas studded with walls, spikes, doors, exploding barrels and much more. A huge collection of items like speed up, fire shot, invulnerable or camouflage can be collected to support your efforts on the way to victory.
