Call for Speakers Opens for 2008 Online Game Development Conference

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

SEATTLE, Washington, November 26, 2007 - The second annual Online Game Development Conference (OGDC) is returning to Seattle on May 13-15, 2008 at the lavish Seattle Waterfront Marriott hotel. The organizers, Evergreen Events, have opened the door for experienced keynoters, speakers and moderators to submit their proposed sessions and panels to make the 2008 conference even more successful than the first OGDC.

After only one year, OGDC is a conference known for its quality, credibility, and level of speakers. Speakers are selected based on their company affiliation, past experience, knowledge of the industry, and topic proposed. The Call for Speakers is open to all online game industry experts worldwide. Candidates are asked to review the topics of interest and session submission tips on the OGDC 2008 website ( http://www.ogdc2008.com/submissions.html), and then submit a completed session proposal form with 1,000 word abstract and biography to speak@ogdc2008.com before the deadline of January 21, 2008.

Regarded as the world's premier online gaming conference for business networking and education, OGDC 2008 will focus on all aspects of online game development across platforms, topically focusing on the technology, design, production, business, and globalization of games utilizing the internet. Building on the solid foundation established by the first conference, OGDC 2008 promises three days of trendsetting, thought-provoking sessions, business-to-business meetings, and numerous networking opportunities with a diverse audience of online game development executives from all over the world.

Conference Director Peter Freese expects a strong contingent of senior level attendees, especially from companies that are looking to tap opportunities internationally. According to Freese, "No other single event can offer the scope of opportunities for online gaming developers and industry professionals on a global scale as OGDC."

OGDC speakers are acknowledged as industry leaders, and the conference provides tremendous opportunities for additional recognition. "The level of exposure we received as speakers was fantastic," asserts Hermann Peterscheck, producer at NetDevil and speaker at OGDC 2007. "The people in attendance are either serious about online game development or already significant players in the industry. We received many positive introductions and re-introductions as a direct result of speaking at the show."

Additional past speakers at OGDC include: Kevin Bjorke, Art and Technology Evangelist for NVIDIA; Joshua Hong, Founder and CEO of K2 Network; Won-il Suh, Vice President of Neowiz; Joseph Ybarra, Vice President of Product Development for Cheyenne Mountain Entertainment; Allison Luong, Founder and Managing Director of Pearl Research; Diana Li, Vice President of Shanda; Mike Goslin, Vice President of Virtual Reality Studio Disney Online, and James Gwertzman, Director of Business Development for PopCap Games.
