Children in Glasgow are the first to play the outstanding new Ben 10 Omniverse videogame

London, UK –10 th August NAMCO BANDAI PARTNERS UK ltd teamed-up with Cartoon Network this week as they kicked off The Alien World Record tour of shopping centres across the UK.

The tour, which will visit 9 locations during August and September, is part of Cartoon Network’s build up to the launch of the new TV series, Ben 10: Omniverse. It will also be the first time kids will have the opportunity to get their hands on the eagerly anticipated Ben 10 Omniverse video game ahead of its release on 30th November 2012.

In this fast paced action adventure, players can battle as both Young Ben and Teen Ben, switch between 13 playable alien heroes and fight in action-packed levels inspired by the new TV series. Ben’s new partner, Rook will also star in the game and will be playable within the brand new two player co-op mode. Rook comes equipped with a Proto-Tool that can transform into a variety of weapons that will bring a whole new dimension to combat.

The first showing of the fully playable demo of the game will be exclusively available to all who attend the Alien World Record tour, where kids are invited to take part in a Guinness World Record attempt. The record breaking challenge is to build a giant alien out of plastic bricks with the largest ever number of participants involved. The alien being built is Bloxx, one of the new aliens that feature in both the new series and the game.

Using Lego and Cobi building bricks, the aim is to use over 250,000 blocks to create a Bloxx alien taller than a double-decker bus! The first bricks were laid at last weekend’s launch with Stacey Solomon in Glasgow and as the tour moves around the country, people will add to the sculpture in an attempt to destroy the record.

As an additional reward, those who take part in the Guinness World Record attempt will be eligible to receive a free copy of Ben 10 Alien Force on DVD if they pre-order the Ben 10: Omniverse™ video game from selected stores on the day.

So don’t miss out on the opportunity to be a part of the Ben 10 fun this summer. Simply get down to one of the following locations for your chance to play the game, win prizes and be part of an epic world record attempt!
