Roubaix, France - 6 April 2011– After months of previews and appearances in comics and TV episodes made by Ankama, Rogues and Masqueraiders are available to every DOFUS players, subscriber and free-to-play.
Officially released more than 6 years ago, the online game DOFUS offers today two new classes on top the 12 already available. The variety of the 12 classes, quite rare for an online game, will enrich the gameplay and force the players to rethink their habits. From today, every player, subscriber or not, will be able to play as a Rogue, the bandits specialised in bombs, or a Masqueraider, the mysterious warriors with multiple faces.
Rogues description (Represented by Remington)
Rogues are fine strategists, especially when it comes to detonating bombs! As everyone knows, they handle powder like no-one else, and when it comes to blowing up enemies, they don’t have to be asked twice. If ever you feel like you’re walking through a mine-field and you start seeing stars, you can be sure a Rogue isn’t too far away!
The Rogues’ greatest strength lies in their ability to control the battlefield using bombs. By placing them in a straight line, they can create walls which will penalise anyone who passes through them. They can use this technique to guide their enemies and make them go wherever they want.
And, if you want to be a true Rogue, you will need to be able to move your bombs and detonate them at will. For this, certain spells will be indispensable: Detonator, Kickback, Magnet. Other spells, which maximise damage inflicted on your enemies, will also be of great use: Last Breath, Countdown and Overload will also be important spells to master!
As a Rogue, you can choose a main elementary path which will determine your attack spells. Each type of bomb has its own specialities and, if you can’t choose between them, you can always take the multi-elemental path.
If close combat is your fighting style of choice, the best weapon for you would be a sword (100% damage), or a bow (95% damage) if you prefer to do damage from a distance. And if neither of these weapons is particularly suited to the style of game you want to play, you can, of course, choose from any of the other weapons (90% damage).

Masqueraiders description (Represented by Maskemane)
This warrior has a different face for every occasion! He draws his power from the masks he wears, and can thus change his fighting style whenever he likes. Whether he’s hitting you from far off, keeping you in close combat or just doing you a whole load of damage, the Masqueraider is full of surprises... and more often than not, it’s his enemies who pay the price.
The Masqueraider has several modes to choose from, depending on which mask he puts on. To make the most of this versatility, you’ll need to work on all of the mask types: The Cowardly Mask, the Classic Mask and the Psychopath Mask
The Cowardly Mask allows you to keep some distance between you and your enemies, whilst still doing them some damage, whilst the Psychopath Mask is for close combat, allowing you to inflict more serious damage in close combat. The Classic Mask is more centred on locking and enables you to keep your enemies in place.
Masqueraiders also have some effective spells for helping allies, so save some spell points for: Plastron, Tortoruga and Trance
When it comes to choosing your element of attack, it’s up to you. You have a variety of spells to choose from, so try them out and see which element suits you best. All the same, there are two attack spells whose benefits you can’t possibly overlook: Reinforcement, which enables you to move away from the target at the same time as doing him damage in 3 elements; and Furia, which brings you closer to the target and increases your damage! So, choose a Masqueraider and the world is your oyster. All you have to do is pick a playing style, and get to work!
