MINNEAPOLIS, MN, October 15, 2012 – Political prognosticators and constituents across the country who love a good challenge can have fun this election year with For The People: November Madness contest. Hosted by Rocket Surgeon, the folks who just launched the open beta of For the People: Fantasy Politics for Facebook, For The People: November Madness is a free, nationwide contest that kicks off today and allows participants to predict the winners of the 2012 presidential election and every House and Senate race across the country.
Each correct pick earns a point, and the person who ends up with the most total points wins the grand prize: Apple's new iPad 64GB 4G. First runner-up nationwide will win a new Samsung Galaxy S III, and second runner-up nationwide will win a year-long subscription to Spotify Premium. The top 10 scorers in each of the East, South, Midwest and West regions will win a $50 iTunes gift card. A leaderboard will be available on election night for participants to see how they're faring as race results are announced. Contested elections will extend the contest for a maximum of two weeks, unless there would be a single winner no matter what the outcome of the contested election. Any election that is still contested after two weeks will be disregarded for the purposes of determining a winner.
