Brighton, England, January 15th, 2009: Eurogamer today announces that its latest ABC ELECTRONIC audit confirms that the site was visited by over 3.7 million unique users in November 2008 - more than double 2007’s figure.
Total qualifying traffic for the certification period 1 November– 30 November 2008, as audited by ABC ELECTRONIC:
Unique users: 3,706,889 (+102% year-on-year)
Page impressions: 22,962,028 (+56% year-on-year)
The November results capped off a fantastic year for the company - the site was also awarded“Best Games Website” at the Games Media Awards in October.
Rupert Loman, managing director of Eurogamer, commented,“The results are particularly pleasing as both the UK site increased significantly to 2.3 million unique users during the month, and our more established European editions showed impressive numbers too. With over 750,000 unique users in Germany, over 250,000 in Portugal and almost 200,000 in France the European network is really doing well.” He added,“If you were to take into account GamesIndustry.biz as well the business is now reaching well over 4 million unique users per month.”
As Eurogamer approaches its 10th birthday, there are no plans to slow down– additional local sites will be launched in the coming months to fill out the European network, the events business is to be expanded following the overwhelming success of the first Eurogamer Expo, and new websites will be launching too.
