Copenhagen, Denmark; September 04, 2012 – The countdown is running. Just eight days left until the Danish indie developer Logic Artists can tackle the completion of their PC game Expeditions: Conquistador. The makers are currently asking for help on Kickstarter. Almost 60,000 of the needed 70,000 US dollars have already been pledged. A clear sign of confidence in the young developer team and their project.
Players take on the role of a Spanish conquistador and must prove their skills both on and off the battlefield. It begins with the selection of followers you want to have with you on your campaign. In addition, a dialog system ensures that some conflicts with the natives do not lead immediately to a new wave of violence.
Only once all diplomatic efforts fail do the idyllic settings transform into bloody battlefields featuring a turn-based combat system. Every decision has irreversible consequences; after all, every soldier has his own heart with which to feel and his own head with which to think. Therefore, tactical mistakes can have devastating consequences on the morale of the troops. Decisions and their consequences are the central theme of Expeditions: Conquistador. Whether an eloquent diplomat or a brutal conqueror – the player alone decides how they will go down in the history books.
