Family game business Total Monkery announces the tale of Iliara, as told by the paintings of the ancients...

Iliara is a multi-platform action puzzle game set within the unique environment of a living, breathing cave painting. The character of Iliara is a spirit creature, created by the life force of his planet. He begins his life in innocence, not knowing his origin or purpose, but is guided by the planet to his eventual destiny – saviour of the world. Iliara moves through his story by firing life spirit, battling foes and navigating puzzles along the way.

The initial release will span over sixty levels of story mode, plus many more time trial, score and challenge modes, all with global high scores. Subsequent updates will unlock the power of the Iliara level editor, enabling players to build, collaborate and share levels with the Iliara community. The community infrastructure also provides the opportunity for competitions, games and challenges run by the Iliara users and developers alike.

Iliara is the first title of newly-formed company Total Monkery, headed by industry veteran Richard Weeks, working with the eclectic skills and wild enthusiasm of his close family, friends and associates, including artist Matthew Beakes (art) and Christopher ‘Megamegaman’ Stephens (music).

Iliara will be released in Q1 of 2013 for iOS, Android, Windows Phone, PC and Mac.
