SAN FRANCISCO - April 1, 2011 - Strap on your jetpack and get ready to free fall into the shattered but visually stunning world of High Flyer Death Defyer.
Game Mechanic Studios, an indie game development studio, today announced its first fully original IP game High Flyer Death Defyer (HFDD). High Flyer Death Defyer will be publicly unveiled at WonderCon, the massive comic book and popular arts convention, in San Francisco this weekend .
High Flyer Death Defyer is expected to be available Summer 2011 on all iOS mobile platforms and on the Android. The game is the first major original intellectual property from Game Mechanic Studios, a studio in Tarzana, Calif.
Designed to take advantage of the mobile platforms' accelerometer technology, High Flyer Death Defyer is a frantically-paced, comic book art style sky diving action game that drops players through floating cities while avoiding death traps, collecting treasures, and screaming past gargantuan mechanically augmented monsters.
" High Flyer Death Defyer is a challenging third-person fast action game that should appeal to more serious players but its accessible controls enable anyone to play," said Jason Alejandre, president, creative director and co-founder of Game Mechanic Studios. "HFDD's comic book style art is really unique for its platforms so WonderCon seems like the perfect stage to unveil this game."
High Flyer Death Defyer is a genre-bending title, demonstrating the innovation coming out of indie developers. At release, HFDD will feature approximately 30 non-linear levels spanning three unique worlds -- each populated by terrifying death traps like lightning clouds, blade fans, sentry guns and mechanically-augmented monsters that will snatch the player's high flying hero out of the sky.
With virtually endless replayability for players who want to seek all the rare treasures in every corner of the sprawling levels, HFDD represents a robust offering, unique for mobile games.
Game Mechanic Studios will be at WonderCon 2011 from April 1-3 at Booth D30.
