InnoGames’ chief marketing office Volker Dressel will argue that free to play games are on the cusp of giving AAA console games a run for their money at the F2P Summit in London on 28 March.

During his presentation, Dressel will discuss emerging cross-platform technologies, along with the pros and cons of this surging trend for game developers and publishers, such as fragmentation of platforms and working with the multitude of technology providers.

“Cross-platform gaming changes the face of free-to-play in several ways, and is positioned to be one of the biggest beneficiaries of the trend. Not only can people now access the same live game through basically anything with a screen, and play with anyone around the world, but no download is required and graphic quality is reaching a point to give AAA console titles a run for their money,” he commented.

The Early Bird rate for passes for the F2P Summit ends in just two days – Wednesday 14 March 2012 – saving delegates £100. F2P Summit is the UK’s first ever conference dedicated to F2P games development. Early Bird prices are just £195 for a full day event plus networking drinks. Registration is open now at:
