GAME and EA SPORTS kick off FIFA 14 launch with a host of premiership footballers

24 th September, 2013 GAME is getting ready to blow the starting whistle on a night to remember as it opens hundreds of stores at midnight on Thursday 26 th September for the launch of the most hotly anticipated football game of the year: FIFA 14.

And fans are being encouraged to get match fit by taking advantage of the Exclusive Collector’s Edition available at GAME. Fans can get ready to play football like never before and get a head start on their mates through the FIFA 14 Ultimate Team upgrade. And that’s not all; the GAME Exclusive Collector’s Edition also includes a specially created Ultimate Edition Adidas® football and an exclusive FIFA 14 collectable steel book.*

What’s more, premiership stars will be paying a visit to GAME stores across the UK to test out their console skills and making the biggest signings since the close of the transfer window, as fans get their hands on signed copies of the game.

GAME customers at West Thurrock, Hayes and Livingston stores will be in for a treat as stars of the beautiful game, Jack Collison (West Ham), Scott Parker (Fulham) and Jamie Forrest (Celtic) visit GAME on the 26 th September ahead of the midnight launch. Scott Parker will be in the Hayes stores between 4pm – 6pm and Jack Collison and Jamie Forrest will be in the West Thurrock and Livingston stores from 6pm – 8pm.

The players will be signing Limited Edition packs and showing off their FIFA 13 button bashing skills ahead of the midnight launch.

But as all football fans know, it’s a game of two halves with GAME stores in Nuneaton, Doncaster, Newcastle also enjoying visits from Leicester City winger, Anthony Knockaert, Doncaster Rovers midfielder, Harry Forrester and Newcastle striker Shola Ameobi, who will be entertaining the home crowds from 4pm-6pm on launch day, 27 th September. Fans in Liverpool will also get a visit from Liverpool midfielder Jordan Henderson who will be in store from 3pm-5pm.

Lucky gamers across the stores will have the chance to score a ‘money can’t buy’ one on one match against the football stars and be amongst the first to experience the game changing innovations which see real ball physics, precision movement and pure shot. In addition, the newest version will have 33 official licensed leagues - more than ever before - which means 600 authentic clubs and 16,000 real players.
