Gameforge Group Merges PR Departments

Karlsruhe, 2/02/2012. The Gameforge group has merged the PR departments of its locations in Karlsruhe and Berlin. Marco Neubert and Axel Schmidt will lead the joint PR team in close cooperation. As planned, they have replaced Gunnar Lott in Karlsruhe, who has left the company. In his position as Director Product PR, Marco Neubert will take over the supervision of public relations work for the whole of the major international company’s product portfolio. He will report to Lothar Rentschler, the new VP Marketing of the Gameforge Group. As Director Corporate Communications, Axel Schmidt will assume responsibility for internal and external communications and report to Seth Iorio, Board Member at Gameforge and CEO of Frogster since early January.

Marco Neubert transferred from his position of Director Web Publishing and Editor-in-Chief at OnlineWelten in August 2010 to lead product PR at Frogster. The trained industrial businessman and graduate in marketing and communications economics as well as business administration (VWA) founded the portal GameVision in 2003 with Andreas Peltret, with whom he led the web platform as partner and Editor-in-Chief.

Axel Schmidt led the public relations work at Frogster from May 2008 as Head of Public Relations. In August 2010, the political sciences graduate (MA) assumed the role of Director Corporate Communications, where he was responsible for Corporate PR, internal communications and assisted the executive board of Frogster with Investor Relations. Besides the external communications for the Gameforge Group, Axel Schmidt will manage internal communication and coordination between the parts of the company and across its two locations.

“By bringing together our PR departments, we can increase the efficiency of our external and internal communication. Through this measure, we consider ourselves to be well prepared for the coming year with our outstanding product portfolio, which should generate quite a buzz”, commented Lothar Rentschler, the new VP Marketing of the Gameforge Group, on the staffing arrangements.
