THURSDAY, AUGUST 14, 2008– Skep Events is pleased to announce it has launched an exciting new event as part of London Games Festival: an invaluable and unique conference, Games 3.0, in conjunction
with In Stock Magazine.
The event will take place on Monday, October 27, 2008 at the Congress Centre on Great Russell Street and is designed as a forum for key opinion formers in the video games market to discuss the shape of the business now and for the coming 12 months.
Working closely together with ELSPA, London Games Festival (LGF) and Cake PR, Skep’s event team are excited to bring a lively agenda, encouraging an interactive format and dynamic set of discussion topics. Games 3.0 will be made up of two keynotes, round table discussions, an interview and panel debates.
“The inception of Games 3.0 at this time in the industry’s lifecycle is perfect timing, with so much to discuss, from a clear picture of the market to governance, ratings, creativity, the digital era and the broadening of the industry,” said David Lilley, joint MD of Skep Media and publisher of In Stock Magazine.
“This is great news for the LGF,” added Duncan Best, director of the London Games Festival.“Skep will use their wealth of experience to deliver a compelling programme covering major issues and developments within the games industry,”
“Games 3.0 is what the video games industry has been crying out for and what better time to hold it than as part of London Games Festival?” said Anju Chadda, head of events at Skep Media.“With everyone in London from across Europe, and in some cases further a field, this is the best forum to discuss pressing topics of genuine interest to the video games market”.
