13 th Sept 2012. London, UK. British videogames industry based charity GamesAid is calling for its members to vote for the charities they would like to receive financial support in the next round of funding.

Following on from two months of nominations 14 charities that fit the GamesAid criteria of smaller UK registered charities, with a focus on children and young adults, a turnover of £5m or less and running costs of no more than 30% have been selected.

Opening today and closing at midnight on Sunday 23rd Sept , GamesAid members are invited to vote for the charity that they feel would be appropriate for financial support from GamesAid in 2012.

Funds are raised in many ways by members of the videogames industry and membership to GamesAid is open to anyone working within the industry, at any level and in any area. Once a games industry employee has signed up for membership they can then vote and become part of the democratic process which decides to whom funds are directed.
